Right-hander Ken Cloude and two other players have agreed to contract terms with the Seattle Mariners, club officials said.

Cloude, 23, was 4-2 with a 5.12 earned-run average in 10 games last year after being called up from Class AA Memphis, where he was 11-7 with a 3.87 ERA.

Tilson Brito, 25, an infielder who batted .238 last season in 49 games with Toronto and 17 with Oakland, was signed to a minor-league contract.

Also signing with the Mariners was right-hander Damaso Marte, 22, who was 8-8 with a 4.13 ERA last year with Class A Lancaster, Calif.

Shawn Estes, a 19-game winner with the San Francisco Giants last year, has signed a three-year contract. Estes was 19-5 last season with a 3.18 ERA in helping the Giants win the N.L. West Division.

The New York Yankees are expected to make an offer to pitcher Jack McDowell, who is coming back from arm trouble. McDowell, 32, threw impressively twice for scouts from about 20 teams last week.

The expansion Arizona Diamondbacks signed free-agent pitcher Gregg Olson to a one-year, minor-league contract and invited him to spring training as a non-roster player. Olson, a 31-year-old right-hander, has 173 career saves and a 28-29 lifetime record.
