Matt Ambrose scored on a three-point play with four seconds left in triple overtime to give Portland State a 101-100 win over visiting Montana State. Ambrose took a pass from Jamie Snook under the basket for a layup and then was fouled by Scott Harry. He converted the free throw to give the Vikings the win. Damon Ollie led the Bobcats with 26 points and 16 rebounds. Nate Holmstadt added 24 points in Montana State’s fifth straight loss. With three overtimes, the game tied a record for the longest game in Montana State history. The Bobcats lost 98-96 in triple overtime to Texas Christian in the 1995-96 season… . Kawika Akina scored six of his game-high 19 points in overtime as Northern Arizona defeated visiting Weber State 79-70 and claimed sole possession of first place in the Big Sky… . Mike O’Quinn scored 19 points to lead Cal State Northridge to a 117-65 victory over Cal State Sacramento.

Damian Cantrell had 14 points and 10 rebounds as San Francisco ran past visiting San Diego 81-59 to end the regular season on a three-game winning streak. … Gerald Brown scored 19 points and Bryan Hill added 16 to lead visiting Pepperdine to a 67-57 win over Portland. Jelani Gardner added 13 points for Pepperdine, and Tommie Prince had 10… . Frank Allocco made two free throws with two seconds remaining to play in overtime as St. Mary’s defeated Santa Clara 96-95.

Roberto Bergersen scored 23 points and Boise State scored five crucial free throws in the last 40 seconds as the Broncos held off division-leading Utah State 57-49… .
