Camry Tops Taurus As Best-Selling Car

Have you driven a Ford lately? Maybe not, because the Toyota Camry toppled the Taurus as America’s best-selling car.

It marked the first time Japan’s No. 1 automaker won the U.S. title.

Americans bought 397,000 Camrys in 1997, compared to 385,000 Honda Accords and 357,000 Tauruses.
