Leadership Spokane Will Have Forum

Leadership Spokane’s third annual Leadership Forum takes place Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ridpath Hotel. Everyone is invited.

This year’s forum will feature Dr. Leland R. Kaiser, founder and president of Kaiser and Associates. A writer, lecturer and health policy analyst, Kaiser’s speech will be on “Creating Community by Design.”

Other guest speakers include Derek P. Okubo, director of the Community Assistance Team for the National Civil League, and Ben Eason, director of Good Community Alliance and publisher of the Weekly Planet Newspaper in Tampa Bay, Fla.

The theme this year is “Community by Design or Default.”

Leadership Spokane, an affiliate of the Spokane Area Chamber of Commerce, is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to prepare and encourage a diverse group of people to assume leadership roles in order to build effective communities in the Spokane area.
