Man Holds Up Post Falls Bank

From Staff And Wire Reports

A man who claimed to have a gun robbed a bank Wednesday morning, escaping with an undisclosed amount.

Bank employees told police the man walked into Wells Fargo Bank branch on Seltice Way and demanded money. The man told tellers he had a gun, but did not display one, police said.

The robber took the money in a white plastic grocery bag and ran off, police said. He was last seen headed south. A white Ford Ranger pickup also was seen speeding away from the area.

No one was injured during the 10 a.m. heist.

Police said they are looking for a man in his early 30s who is about 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. The man was wearing a silver wedding band on his left hand, a black leather jacket, charcoal-gray baseball cap, narrow sunglasses and dark pants.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Post Falls police Lt. Dick Halligan at 773-3517.
