Potlatch Holds Off St. Maries

One last-second shot fell for St. Maries on Wednesday, but two others wouldn’t.

Cody Drake’s layup with 4 seconds left in the second overtime gave Potlatch a 57-55 win over the visiting Lumberjacks (5-4) in a non-league boys basketball game.

Derick Driggs of St. Maries attempted a 3-pointer after Drake’s basket, but the shot hit the backboard and went around three-quarters of the rim.

The Lumberjacks forced a second OT with Mark Raebel’s late basket. Raebel’s 5-footer at the end of regulation rimmed out.
