Joyner-Kersee An Agent

Jackie Joyner-Kersee, three-time Olympic gold medalist, who is in her final year of competition, is getting ready for life after track and field - she has become a player agent.

Joyner-Kersee, along with agent Reggie Smith, has formed Elite International Sports Marketing in St. Louis.

Joyner-Kersee, who recently received approval from the NFL as an agent, already has signed up four senior college football players - defensive back Terry Fair of Tennessee, running back Ernest Blackwell of Missouri and quarterback Matt Sherman and defensive back Plez Atkins, both of Iowa.

She also has applied to the NBA.
