Utah State Edges Idaho

Associated Press

Pharoah Davis hit two foul shots with 7.3 seconds left to seal a 68-66 Utah State victory over Idaho Saturday night.

Davis, who had averaged just 52 percent at the foul line, gave the Aggies (15-4 overall, 6-0 Big West Conference) a four-point lead.

UI’s Cameron Banks answered with a layup with 2.1 seconds left, but the Aggies ran out the clock.

The loss ruined a 28-point outing for UI’s Avery Curry, who hit 10 of 21 from the floor, including 3 of 5 attempts from behind the arc.

The Vandals (9-7, 3-3) led 39-34 at the half, and continued to lead until an 8-0 USU run put the Aggies up 64-60 with 2 minutes remaining.
