House Approves Mobil Home Bill

The Idaho House gave final legislative approval to a bill to prevent cities and counties from directly discriminating against manufactured housing in zoning ordinances.

Advocates called the bill adopted unanimously on Thursday and sent to Gov. Phil Batt a move toward increasing Idaho’s supply of affordable housing.

The House also voted 56-11 to send Batt a Senate-passed companion bill setting safety standards for manufactured homes built before June 15, 1976.
