Staying Off The Air

Kathleen Willey has turned down CBS’ invitation to appear on “60 Minutes” this week to talk about letters she sent to President Clinton after the incident in which she accused him of making an unwanted sexual advance. “60 Minutes” added a postscript on Sunday to mention the letters, but CBS and correspondent Ed Bradley have been criticized for not being tough enough on Willey during the original March 15 interview. In an off-air conversation, Bradley said, Willey explained she believed Clinton could help her get a job and she wrote the letters because she didn’t want to lose that contact.
