The Kettle Falls boys basketball team is off to a good start with a 2-1 mark, with the loss coming from last year’s State B champs, Republic. The defending state champion Colfax girls opened their season Tuesday with a loss to Pullman and will host Tekoa-Oakesdale on Friday. Preseason polls list Freeman and Colfax as teams to watch on both the boys and girls side. Freeman’s boys are getting a later start because of their football success.
