Out, United Together Conference – Spokane Falls Community College Gay/Straight Alliance Club and the Spokane Kootenai Pride Foundation are co-sponsoring this conference for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender high school students, Wednesday at the SFCC SUB, Building 17, 3410 W. Fort George Wright Drive. Attendees will discuss how to fight homophobia, prevent hate crimes, understand gender identity and coming out. For information, call Heather Keast at 533-4507.

Before- and After-school Programs – Educational and fun programs are available at the Northeast Youth Center, 4001 N. Cook. Transportation to and from some local elementary schools is available and state pay is accepted. Includes a USDA approved snack. Multi-Cultural Folk Dancing: Silver Spurs Youth Folk Dancers – Kids in grades three through six and seven through twelve can learn clogging, German, Ukrainian, Romanian and Irish folk dancing, swing and more at Silver Spurs International Folk Dance Youth Group, 1426 E. 19th Avenue. Young Mom’s Life Skills/Support Group – Teen Parent Network provides a weekly young mom’s group for moms between the ages of 13-24 for encouragement, understanding, and acceptance.
