Head Start fall signup under way
The Spokane County Head Start Program is enrolling families for the fall.
The free programs include: Early Childhood Education; Family Assistance and Support; meals and Collaborative Approach to Preschool Education for children with special needs.
Ninety percent of families in the program must be low-income (at or below federal poverty guidelines). Other families are accepted based on need.
Priority is given to children who are 4 years old by Aug. 31.
Spokane County Head Start is a program of the Institute of Extended Learning of Community Colleges of Spokane.
