New ”Smoke Free” program begins Sunday
If you’re seeking a smoke-free dinner out, the Washington State Department of Health is making it a little easier to find one.
The department is launching its “100% Smoke Free” program on Sunday with new seals for the doors and windows of restaurants that do not allow smoking.
The Health Department started a Web site in February that includes an interactive map of smoke-free eating places, and since then 1,000 restaurants have been added. Now, more than 5,800 smoke-free restaurants are listed. It can be found at www.secondhandsmokesyou.com.
