Centennial Trail cleanup will be Saturday

The Friends of the Centennial Trail will host their 10th annual Unveil the Trail event Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. More than 300 volunteers will be spring-cleaning 37 miles of trail to get it ready for summer use.

The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission, Spokane Parks Department and Spokane County Parks will be assisting along with members of the public. Volunteers will be sweeping, weeding and picking up litter.

Groups will be gathering at the stateline trailhead, City Mission Park, Riverside State Park and other locations. Volunteers are welcome to sign up to help.
