If you fly

The Spokesman-Review

When to get to the airport: During peak travel times, like early morning and late afternoon, arrive at least two hours before your flight.

Newly prohibited carry-on items: Liquids, creams and gels including beverages, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, eye drops, saline solution, shaving cream, lotion, mouthwash, mascara, liquid makeup, hand sanitizer, hairspray, etc.

Exceptions: Formula or milk for babies, prescription medications and essential non-prescription medications like insulin and asthma inhalers.

Electronic devices: TSA continues to allow laptop computers, cell phones and other electronic items on domestic flights. Flights to Britain, however, are another matter. No electrical or battery- powered items are allowed in the cabin and must be checked as baggage.
