Ingebritsen helps Panthers pounce on Bullpups

Brendan Ingebritsen scored 15 points and Lucas Ashe added 10 points and six rebounds as Mead topped visiting Gonzaga Prep 57-46 in a Greater Spokane League boys game Saturday.

The Panthers (6-1, 6-1) outscored the Bullpups 17-9 in the third quarter to take a 45-36 lead into the fourth quarter. Mead never trailed in the game.

The Panthers shot 24 of 41 from the field while Gonzaga Prep was 15 of 39.

Beau Azadganian scored 18 points, hitting 6 of 20 from the field, and Michael Stockton chipped in 13 for G-Prep (3-2, 3-2).

Desmond Seay added five steals and five assists for the Panthers.

Elsewhere in the GSL, Nick Ambrose scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds, guiding Central Valley to a 55-46 win over visiting Lewis and Clark. Kevin Cameron added 16 points for the Bears (3-4, 3-4), who outscored the Tigers 17-9 in the second quarter to take a 28-20 lead into halftime. CV converted on 10 of 14 free throws while LC made just 1 of 6. Cole Poland scored 15 points to lead the Tigers (2-5, 2-5). … Jared Karstetter scored 18 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as Ferris rolled to a 65-30 win over visiting East Valley. DeAngelo Casto added 12 points and 10 boards for the Saxons (6-0, 6-0), who outscored the Knights 37-13 in the second half. Lexie Pettersen added 10 points for the Highlanders (4-2, 4-2), who outscored the Indians 14-4 in the second quarter to take a 28-10 lead into halftime.
