Replace Landers

The Spokesman-Review

This is in response to the Rich Landers’ column on Vice President Dick Cheney’s hunting accident (“Cheney’s shot still being felt by sportsmen,” Feb. 27).

We know from his columns that Landers is a loather of the Bush administration, Cheney and Fox News. What I don’t know is why this information is in an outdoors column rather than in the editorial section.

Cheney accepted his responsibility for his actions in the shooting accident as he explained in the respectful interview on Fox News. The interviewer did not scream at or try to use the VP as a punching bag, which is probably one reason Landers does not like Fox News.

Landers leads us to believe he watches the “O’Reilly Factor.” How else could he form such a strong negative opinion about O’Reilly?

However, since he is so far from the truth about O’Reilly’s positions and most of the VP story content, I wonder if he really does watch. I would be very surprised if he did, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he received his information from far-left Web sites and then wrote it in his column as truth.

Replace Landers. The only thing he qualifies for is “the most ridiculous item of the day.”
