Fire District 13 (Newman Lake) – The chief-selection committee had three finalists for the position until two dropped out and they couldn’t reach an agreement with the third. The search for a new fire chief is starting over, with commissioners putting out new advertisements that include a bump in pay. They hope to interview the next batch of finalists by late August.
