It’s opening day of the 2006 Spokane County Interstate Fair, which also means it’s half-price admission day. A full schedule of events for the 10-day fair is available at www.spokanecounty.org/fair and at the fairgrounds.

Schedule

10:30 a.m.: Antique Steam Museum opens; florist show judging.

11 a.m.: Racing pigs.

Noon: International Lumberjack Show; Country Gospel Jubilee; Kiddyland carnival opens.

12:30 p.m.: Country band Coyote Creek.

1 p.m.: Youth Goat Team Grooming Contest.

2 p.m.: Racing pigs.

2:15 p.m.: Vocalist Charlie Marie.

3 p.m.: International Lumberjack Show; carnival midway opens.

3:15 p.m.: Vocalist Cindy Smith.

3:30 p.m.: Country band Coyote Creek.

4 p.m.: 4-H Fashion Revue.

4:30 p.m.: Nah’Joom Dancers.

4:45 p.m: Country band Coyote Creek.

5 p.m.: Racing pigs.

5:30 p.m.: Hypnotist Mark Yuzuik.

6 p.m.: Youth rabbit grooming and showing; youth beef judging; dog dock jumping beginners contest; International Lumberjack Show.

6:45 p.m.: PRCA Rodeo; Wyldstylez Dancers.

8 p.m.: Racing pigs; dog dock jumping advanced contest.

8:30 p.m.: Hypnotist Mark Yuzuik.

If you go

Hours: 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Cost: Today is half-price admission day, so adults get in for $4 instead of $8. Seniors and youth (7-13), $2.50. Children under 7 are still free.

Where: Spokane County Fair and Expo Center, 404 N. Havana St.
