The Spokesman-Review

The scheme that will land Robert Moore in federal prison received international attention because it was the first large-scale hacking of a Voice over Internet Protocol system.

Moore used 12 home computers to find vulnerable network access points.

His job was made easier because of the corporate networks he targeted, more than 90 percent still were using default passwords such as “password.”
