Law comes down on Longhorns

Josh Carter scored 24 points and Acie Law added 21 points and 15 assists, leading No. 6 Texas A&M (20-3, 8-1 Big 12) to a 100-82 victory over Texas (16-7, 6-3) on Monday night in College Station, Texas.

Kevin Durant had 28 points and 15 rebounds for Texas, setting a Longhorns’ freshman record with his 14th double-double of the season.

Both teams shot 37 free throws, with Texas making 27 and the Aggies 23.

Women

(1) Duke 105, Clemson 53: At Durham, N.C., Alison Bales scored 15 of her season-high 21 points in the first half and the Blue Devils (24-0, 9-0 ACC) routed the Tigers (10-13, 2-6).

The Blue Devils shot 52 percent and held a 51-23 rebounding advantage.

(3) Tennessee 73, (9) Georgia 57: At Knoxville, Tenn., Candace Parker had 22 points and 11 rebounds, and the Lady Vols (21-2, 8-0 SEC) defeated the Lady Bulldogs (19-5, 6-3).

Tennessee opened the second half with a 16-2 run.
