Padres 8, Braves 5: At San Diego, the Padres beat Atlanta behind home runs by Mike Cameron and Khalil Greene. San Diego rallied with three runs in the seventh.

Cubs 7, Pirates 1: At Pittsburgh, Ted Lilly pitched into the eighth inning, Alfonso Soriano got three hits and Chicago beat the Pirates. Chicago finished with 14 hits.

Reds 5, Diamondbacks 4: At Cincinnati, Norris Hopper singled home the tiebreaking run in the eighth inning, and the Reds beat Arizona. Reds rookie Homer Bailey allowed only one run in five innings.

Nationals 5, Brewers 4: At Washington, Austin Kearns’ two-run double capped a four-run rally in the fifth and the Nationals beat Milwaukee.

Giants 7, Cardinals 6: At St. Louis, Barry Bonds went 0 for 2, drawing two walks, and San Francisco earned a victory over the Cardinals.

Mets 5, Astros 3 (17): At Houston, Carlos Beltran hit a go-ahead single in the 17th inning after making a tremendous catch as New York beat the Astros. Beltran was 0 for 6 before his tiebreaking hit.

Rockies 6, Phillies 3: At Denver, Ryan Spilborghs hit a two-run homer, Todd Helton drove in two runs and Colorado beat Philadelphia.

Marlins 7, Dodgers 2: At Los Angeles, Hanley Ramirez had four hits, Miguel Cabrera and Josh Willingham homered in the fourth inning, and Florida beat the Dodgers.
