Fairfield City Council – Council members discussed an antique show that will be at the Community Center and in Thiel Park May 18 and 19. Residents of Rockford, Fairfield, Spangle and Waverly may bring their yard waste to the Waverly gravel pit today for free disposal. Construction on the town’s skate park has begun. Council members also discussed mosquito spraying, but no decision was made. (Source: Deputy town clerk Donna McLean)

Rockford City Council – Council members passed an ordinance to amend the budget and amended the junk vehicle ordinance. Road oiling will take place during the beginning of June. The town has received a $4,425 grant from Spokane County Parks and Recreation to build a concrete pad in the main park. Council members also decided to apply for a grant to replace sidewalks. Liberty Lake SCOPE – Volunteers will be getting their golf cart ready to patrol the Centennial Trail. They also discussed upcoming training. (Source: President Rob Hill)

Central Valley SCOPE – Volunteers are reorganizing. Two office managers were appointed to help coordinate activities. Volunteers plans to reactivate several programs and become more active in the community. (Source: Board member, Deanna Hormann)
