Pac-10 picks

If USC is as good as everyone thought a week ago, then Arizona is in for one long afternoon in the Coliseum. Stanford may have just awakened a sleeping giant.

But if the Trojans are still drowsy from their one-point loss to the Cardinal, then Saturday’s game with Wildcats could be wildly entertaining.

As always, the spreads are for entertainment purposes only.

Arizona at USC (USC by 21): Here’s one vote that last week was an aberration. USC 33-14.

TCU at Stanford (TCU by 5.5): A lower-end Pac-10 team hosting a midlevel Mountain West Conference team. These are the type of games the Cardinal loses. TCU 24-21

Oregon State at Cal (Cal by 14): The Bears are in rarefied territory, ranked second in the nation. A trip to Pasadena awaits in a week. Cal 42-27.

Washington at Arizona State (ASU by 12): If the Sun Devils lock up in man coverage, Jake Locker could run for 200 yards. But it still may not be enough. Arizona State 28-24.

Washington State at Oregon (Oregon by 18): There have been some shootouts in Autzen between these teams before. This should be another one. Oregon 45-35.

Last week: 1-3 overall, 2-2 vs. spread; Season: 28-13 overall, 17-22 vs. spread.
