Saturday’s results

Utah 34, Utah State 18: Brian Johnson passed for two touchdowns and Derrek Richards had Utah’s first punt return for a touchdown in seven years as the Utes (2-3) beat the Aggies in Salt Lake City, extending their winning streak to 10 straight in the state’s oldest rivalry.

Darrell Mack ran for 132 yards and a touchdown and Louie Sakoda kicked two field goals and ran a fake punt 22 yards to keep a touchdown drive in the third quarter going for the Utes, who overcame a sloppy start and driving snow to keep the Aggies (0-5) winless.

San Jose State 34, UC Davis 14: Adam Tafralis passed for 330 yards and four TDs to lead the Spartans past the Aggies (2-3) in San Jose, Calif.

Despite playing without lead running back Yonus Davis for the fourth straight game, the Spartans had no problem moving the ball against the overmatched Aggies, a team from the Football Championship Subdivision, formerly I-AA, in the first meeting between the two schools since 1934, when they played to a scoreless tie.

Nevada 27, UNLV 20: Nick Graziano threw a 43-yard TD pass to Kyle Sammons with 27.5 seconds left and the Wolf Pack beat the Rebels in Reno, Nev.

Graziano completed 20 of 38 passes for 330 yards and three touchdowns as Nevada beat UNLV (2-3) for the third straight year.

New Mexico St. 20, Ark.-Pine Bluff 17: Chase Holbrook threw for 246 yards and Paul Young kicked a 37-yard field goal with a second remaining to give the Aggies a victory over the Golden Lions (1-4, FCS) in Las Cruces, N.M.

Fresno St. 17, Louisiana Tech 6: Tom Brandstater hit Jason Crawley for a 27-yard TD and Clifton Smith ran six yards for another score as the FSU Bulldogs overcame a 6-0 halftime deficit to beat the LT Bulldogs in Fresno, Calif.
