Trooper narrowly avoids being hit

Traffic is again hazardous this morning. Interstate 90 is moving slowly due to crashes and slide offs between Coeur d’Alene and Spokane. A trooper had to jump into a snow bank to avoid being hit. A car was traveling too fast for conditions when the trooper spotted the vehicle was able to jump out of the way, but the patrol car wasn’t so lucky. The trooper was working a two-car crash about 8:45 a.m. when he noticed the out-of-control truck, said Washington State Patrol Trooper Joe Liebrecht. Several semis have gotten stuck in the city and on Interstate 90, said Spokane Police Officer Teresa Fuller. Truck drivers should be chaining up.
