Chiefs will play makeup Monday

The Spokesman-Review

Blizzard-like conditions on Snoqualmie Pass led to the postponement of the Spokane Chiefs’ Friday night Western Hockey League contest with the Seattle Thunderbirds.

The Chiefs, who are 6-0 against Seattle this season, will still have three games in three nights, beginning tonight when they take on the Tri-City Americans at the Arena. The Chiefs then travel to take on the Thunderbirds Sunday in Seattle before making up the postponed game at 7 p.m. on Monday at the Arena.

Friday night tickets can be used for Monday night’s game.

If fans are unable to attend Monday, the tickets can be used for any other Chiefs game, except today, Feb. 23 and March 8. Besides Monday, the other remaining home games the tickets can be used for include: Feb. 19 against the Kelowna Rockets, Feb. 22 against the Everett Silvertips, March 5 or March 14 against the Portland Winter Hawks or March 7 when they Chiefs host the Americans.

The Chiefs and Americans head into tonight’s matchup in a two-way tie for first place in the Western Conference and U.S. Division.
