Appeal scheduled for zoning request

The Spokane City Council on Monday set April 7 for an appeal of a hearing examiner decision denying a zone change application by West Central Development LLC to allow a high-rise office building in the vicinity of the Spokane County Courthouse.

Owners Marcus DeWood and his wife, Luann Padgham, are seeking a 100-foot office and retail building in the block bounded by Broadway and Mallon avenues and Adams and Cedar streets. Existing zoning for the area has a 35-foot height limit.
