Medical buildings welcome new tenants

Nils Rosdahl Correspondent

Medically-related offices are breaking away from the usual hub of the Ironwood area in Coeur d’Alene as the area’s growing population spreads away from town. Two new buildings are to the west side, one in the Riverstone Development and one slightly out Seltice Way.

That one, the Seltice Medical Building, at 3330 N. Grand Mill Lane (where it meets Seltice Way), already has two occupants.

Coeur d’Alene Spine moved from 2003 Lincoln Way to a 7,300-square-foot space in the new building. The doctors are Jeffrey Larson, neurosurgeon, and Michael Ludwig, pain management specialist. With 13 employees, their offices are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Call 765-9100. The Occupational Medicine Division of Kootenai Medical Center moved into the Lincoln Way offices.

RiversEdge Orthodontics moved from 1300 E. Mullan Ave. into 2,200 square feet of the new building just over two weeks ago. Orthopedic surgeon Spencer Greendyke, a Spokane native practicing in Kootenai County for four years, was educated at the University of Washington, Illinois State University and Uniformed Services University. His specialty is partial knee replacements. With three employees, hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Call 277-1060. Oncologists from KMC’s Post Falls unit moved into the Mullan Avenue spaces.

Pinnacle Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine will expand from its 1590 E. Polston Ave. spaces in Post Falls to 2.,300 square feet in the new building in May. The office specializes in neck and back pain, upper and lower extremity pain, sports medicine and pre- and post-operative rehabilitation.

Owners are Mark and Jennifer Bengston, who had Summit Rehabilitation before starting Pinnacle Physical Therapy four years ago. A Coeur d’Alene native, Mark earned a master’s degree at Western University of Health Science of California. Coming from Mission Viejo, Calif., Jennifer earned a master’s degree in kinesiology at Cal State Fullerton. They have 15 employees. Call 777-4242.

About 5,500 square feet is available in the new building for one or two occupants. Phone Drew Hodgson of Black Rock Development at 676-8696.

Riverstone building filling up

Three owner-occupants are signed up for a three-level, 10,500-square-foot building to be built northwest of the Riverstone pond. The brick and masonry building should be completed by September.

Tim Skelton will move his State Farm Insurance office from 1230 Northwood Center Court into 1,500 square feet on the middle level. He has four employees. Drs. Wayne and Cindy Ellenbecker will move Ellenbecker Eye Clinic with seven employees into 3,400 square feet on the ground floor from 1250 Ironwood Drive. And Dr. Michael Chaffee will move his orthodontic practice and six employees to 3,400 square feet on the top floor from 1800 Lincoln Way.

Tim Wilson of Momentum Architecture designed the building, which will be built by Williamson-Johnson Co. About 1,000 square feet remains available. Call Skelton at 818-4682.

Gorton Constructions offers showrooms

Showrooms with displays where customers can check what potential building choices look like are a specialty of Gorton Construction. The company opened a showroom two weeks ago in the Design Center at Government Way and Orchard Avenue in Hayden two weeks ago. And another will be in a new 6,000-square-foot building near Cabela’s this summer.

“Customers can have an instant visual of what their siding would be,” said owner Wes Gorton. The new building, on Innovation Way near the intersection of Pleasant View and Seltice Way, will include seven offices and a warehouse. General Manager Brian Harrison administers about 40 employees from the current office at 236 S.Young Ave. Call 765-6200 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.
