Chris Kelly delivered a two-run double in the top of the seventh inning to rally the Rogers Pirates to a 9-7 victory over the Mt. Spokane Wildcats in Greater Spokane League play at Mt. Spokane High School on Saturday.

Colby Cronn had just given the Wildcats a 7-6 lead in the bottom of the sixth with a two-run home run. It was Cronn’s first home run of the season.

Andrew Durant went 3 for 5 with three runs scored and also picked up the win – his first of the season –on the mound for Rogers.

Jordan Poynor went 3 for 5 with a run batted in and a run scored to lead Mt. Spokane.

Mt. Spokane, which scored in every inning but the first and last, led 1-0 in the second. The game was tied at 5 at the end of the fifth inning. Rogers outhit the Wildcats 14-7.

Also in the GSL, Stefano Pau went 2 for 4 with three RBIs and a run scored to lead the Central Valley Bears to a 9-6 victory over the visiting Gonzaga Prep Bullpups. Pau homered and doubled for the Bears, who answered G-Prep’s two-run top of the first with three runs in the bottom of the inning to take the lead for good. … The game between the Ferris Saxons and the Shadle Park Highlanders at Shadle was postponed. No makeup date has been announced.
