Liberty lake blotter

Liberty Lake police officers on bike patrol nabbed a suspected drug dealer and her customer in the Albertsons parking lot after they observed what appeared to be a drug deal on May 15. Dianna M. Bowdish, 29, of Spokane was arrested on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

A 41-year old Spokane man also at the location was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. A passenger in his car was identified as a 48-year-old Spokane man wanted on a felony warrant for escape from community custody.

Other arrests during the week of May 12-18 include three for driving with a suspended license. One of those suspects, a 49-year-old Liberty Lake man, was also arrested on a warrant for second-degree theft out of Thurston County.

A vehicle prowling was reported in the 22800 block of East Country Vista Drive during the week and a red 1995 Nissan Pathfinder was reported stolen from the All-Sport Grill and Bar parking lot on May 16. Officers also responded to an alarm call at the Palenque Restaurant at the Trailhead Golf Course at 1:45 a.m. on May 17 and found a broken window on the south side of the building. A K-9 unit from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office failed to locate the suspect and nothing appeared to be missing, said police Chief Brian Asmus.

Officers issued two citations for license and plates required, four for failure to show liability insurance and five for speeding. Citations were also issued for illegal use of studded tires and speeding in a school zone. Officers responded to calls for an abandoned vehicle, a burglary, recovery of stolen property, property theft and a welfare check. Police also helped conduct 65 car-seat safety inspections during the Child Safety Day held May 17.
