Arop makes it official

Gonzaga men’s basketball team officially announced the signing of Sudan native Mangisto “Manny” Arop to a national letter of intent Thursday.

Arop plays with Basketball Canada’s National Elite Development Academy (NEDA), based in Hamilton, Ontario – essentially Canada’s Junior National Team.

This summer Arop, a 6-foot-5 wing, represented fifth-place Canada at the FIBA Americas Championship in Formosa, Argentina, averaging 17 points.
