Rec program receives grant

The Specialized Needs Recreation Program was recently awarded a grant for $2,388 from the Adirondack Community Trust – North America Community Fund. The grant will benefit SNR’s Camp Allstars Program.

Camp Allstars provides school and after-school programs, as well as programs during spring, summer and winter vacation breaks. The camp includes activities such as community outings, crafts and games. The day camp is for ages 4-21 with special needs.

Career fair will be April 29

The fourth annual career fair will be held at the Bonner Mall April 29.

The event is designed to help businesses with employment needs and open businesses and organizations in the North Idaho area.

The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Business Development Committee also will hold a free workshop April 17, called “How to Make the Most of the Career Fair,” to help employers recruit prospective employees at the fair, scheduled for April 29. The Idaho Department of Labor will host “Job Search Workshop for Job Seekers – Preparing for the Career Fair” April 23, to help job seekers stand out against other job seekers at the fair.

NIC all-class reunion planned

North Idaho College is selling tickets for the NIC all-class reunion and hall of fame induction April 24 through 26, as part of its 75th anniversary celebration.

Reunion events include campus tours, a cruise on Lake Coeur d’Alene, and the first Athletics Hall of Fame banquet and induction ceremony.

An all-events ticket is $60 per person, or ticket pricing varies for each event.
