Power restored around Deer Park
Avista Utilities is reporting on its Web site that power has been restored to all customers in north Spokane County and Deer Park.
A failure on a Bonneville Power Administration line caused the outage, an Avista spokesman said. BPA crews are working to fix the problem, he added.
At the height of the outage, about 12,000 homes were in the dark.

Man when the power goes out in Deer Park, it’s PITCH black. We may only be a few minutes from town, but this is an isolated area, and having no power here is a very serious deal. I’m glad it came on in the main stretch within 20 minutes of the outage, there was absolutely no light anywhere.
Quote heard at yokes: “looks like someone cut the main power cord between here and Spokane”
