From Staff And Wire Reports

Dismissed Washington Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth was sent home from Friday’s practice. Coach Jim Zorn told reporters he sent Haynesworth home for disciplinary reasons. Zorn says Haynesworth will still play Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys but might not start. Haynesworth was fined $10,000 by the NFL on Thursday for an altercation with Giants running back Brandon Jacobs late in New York’s 45-12 victory at Washington.

Out Wide receiver Eddie Royal will not play for the Denver Broncos in Sunday’s game with the Philadelphia Eagles. Royal missed every practice this week with neck and hand injuries. Either Brandon Lloyd or Kenny McKinley will fill the void as punt returner.

Selected Alexander Ovechkin, Evgeni Malkin and Ilya Kovalchuk are among the 14 NHL players on the 23-player Russia squad for the Vancouver Olympics. Forwards Pavel Datsyuk of Detroit and Alexander Semin of Washington, defensemen Sergei Gonchar of Pittsburgh and Andrei Markov of Montreal, and goaltender Evgeni Nabokov of San Jose were also selected.

Limited Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was limited in practice Friday and his availability for Sunday’s game in Atlanta will be a game-time decision. Fitzpatrick participated only in individual workouts but not in practice. Interim coach Perry Fewell said he hopes Fitzpatrick might be available against the Falcons. Brian Brohm would start if Fitzpatrick can’t go.

Back Brian Westbrook completed a full week of practice and is expected to play for the Philadelphia Eagles against Denver on Sunday after missing five weeks with a concussion. But the Eagles could be without quarterback Michael Vick, who has a quadriceps contusion. Vick, who runs a handful of plays each game, didn’t practice this week and is questionable.

Questionable New England Patriots running back Fred Taylor is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against his former team, the Jacksonville Jaguars. Taylor has missed the last 10 games with an ankle injury. He participated fully in practices Wednesday and Thursday and on a limited basis Friday. Taylor spent 11 seasons in Jacksonville and is the Jaguars’ all-time leading rusher.
