Broncos end Bulldog streak

Sabrina Saetre had 13 points, Cassie Cole 11 and Emmy Bouwman 10 and the visiting Lind-Ritzville Broncos earned the No. 1 seed to the District 7 2B tournament with a 55-49 victory over second-ranked Colfax, ending the Bulldogs’ 17-game winning streak.

Colfax (20-2) had a 23-20 lead at the half, but the Broncos (16-8) hit 4 of their 7 3-pointers in the third quarter to help them take a 37-35 lead into the fourth.

Kayla Johnson had 18 points, 10 in the fourth quarter, for Colfax.

Reardan 57, Northwest Christian 50: The Indians (11-11) advance to district with a victory over the Crusaders (9-13) at Colfax.

Liberty 62, Davenport 37: Kelly Hennessey had 21 points and the Lancers (14-8) earned the No. 3 seed to district with a victory over the Gorillas (14-9) at Colfax. Davenport gets the No. 4 seed.

Great Northern League

Cheney 45, Riverside 35: Laikyn Brophy scored 11 points to propel the Blackhawks (7-10, 6-5) past the Rams (1-15, 1-10) at Riverside. Rheanna Kaley had 16 rebounds for Riverside.

Clarkston 61, West Valley 54: Kellie McCann-Smith scored 26 points to lead the Bantams (12-4, 9-1) past the Eagles (13-4, 7-4) at West Valley.

Colville 54, Medical Lake 44: The Indians (7-9, 4-6) got 11 points from Whitney Luu and overcame a one-point third-quarter deficit with a 10-0 run to earn a victory over the Cardinals (5-9, 3-7) at Colville.

Pullman 57, Deer Park 35: Amy Sterk and Shelby Cheslek scored 10 points apiece to lead the eighth-ranked Greyhounds (14-2, 10-0) past the Stags (3-14, 2-9) at Deer Park.

Washington District 7 1A

Newport 59, Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) 56: Sierra Pancho expanded a one-point lead to three with two free throws in the final seconds and the Grizzlies (14-8) held on for a victory over the Eagles (12-8) at Mead High School to advance to the district title game against Freeman on Wednesday. Amber Lewis scored 16 and Pamela Bell 14 for Newport. Leslie Stillar paced Lakeside with 17 points. The Eagles will face Kettle Falls in a loser-out game Wednesday.

Freeman 47, Kettle Falls 28: Carley Heinen had 17 points and 10 rebounds and MacKenzie Taylor added nine points and 10 rebounds to lead the third-ranked Scotties (19-0) past the Bulldogs (10-12) at Mead High School.

District 9 North League

Garfield-Palouse 56, Asotin 37: Tianna Woltering had 27 points, seven rebounds, seven steals and four assists to lead the Vikings (13-6, 5-5) past the visiting Panthers (7-11, 3-6).

Pomeroy 46, Tekoa-Oakesdale 42: Taelor Braun had 17 points and Kaci Uto scored 13 to lead the Pirates (15-5, 6-4) past the Nighthawks (10-9, 3-6) at Pomeroy. Shelby Puckett scored 24 for Tekoa-Oakesdale.

Washington District 9 1B

St. John-Endicott 60, LaCrosse-Washtucna 31: Kelsey Simon and Kelly VanLith split 26 points and the third-ranked Eagles (15-3) beat the visiting Tigercats (7-10). The Eagles play Colton for the district title Friday.

Colton 76, Rosalia 39: Four Wildcats scored in double figures, led by Kelsey Moser with 13 points, and top-ranked Colton (19-0) drubbed the Spartans (9-13) at Colton.

Panorama League 2B

Selkirk 50, Republic 36: Angelina MacArthur had 21 points and the Rangers (12-10) earned the No. 3 seed to district with a win over the Tigers (5-16) at Wellpinit.

Springdale 42, St. George’s 34: The third-ranked Chargers (19-2) pulled away from the Dragons (14-7) in the last 3 minutes of the fourth quarter to claim the No. 1 seed to the District 7 tournament with St. George’s taking the second seed. The Chargers took the lead for good (33-30) on Jessica Sulgrove’s only field goal, a 3-pointer.
