Sunny skies and mid-30s expected today

A little sunshine, a few clouds and normal temperatures are forecast for the Inland Northwest. As most area residents awoke to see, Tuesday’s expected snowfall was just a trace. The snow that arrived Tuesday afternoon lasted just long enough to halt traffic for more than an hour on Interstate 90 between Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene. However, the forecasted snow accumulations did not develop around the area. Today, Spokane and Coeur d’Alene will be under sunny skies with a few puffy clouds and temperatures in the mid-30s, according to the National Weather Service. Overnight lows will be in the 20s. A few more clouds are expected to move into the area on Thursday, but temperatures will remain about the same as today, according to the weather service. The sun returns on Friday with a high of 37. A slight chance of rain or snow is forecast for Friday night into Saturday morning.
