Suspect arrested in burglarly

A man Spokane police arrested in a north Spokane burglary posted bond and was released from jail Wednesday.

Mickey W. Brown, 32, faces charges of second-degree theft, trafficking of stolen property and possession of stolen property, said Spokane police Officer Jennifer DeRuwe.

Brown is accused of stealing jewelry and credit cards from a home in the 3000 block of West Cleveland.

Some of that jewelry was recovered, police said.

The resident of the home helped police track the suspect by retrieving surveillance tapes from where the man used his credit cards, officials said.

Brown is not thought to be responsible for the string of burglaries police are tracking on the South Hill and in a northwest section of Spokane.

The serial burglaries remain under investigation.
