Sex offender moves to East Main in Spokane Valley

A level 3 sex offender has moved to a new home in the 12100 block of East Main in Spokane Valley, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.

Joseph M. Hamilton, 30, was released from prison in January 2008 after a sentence for violating the terms of his parole on a 1997 first-degree rape conviction.

His victim was a 5-year-old girl, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Level 3 sex offenders are the classification considered most likely to reoffend.

Hamilton is not under supervision or wanted by authorities, but police want people to be aware of his presence.
