The Spokesman-Review
Spokane Public Schools is offering evening registration for kindergarten and first-grade students tonight from 3:30 to 6. The district’s late hours are at Logan Elementary School, 1001 E. Montgomery Ave. Families may enroll there even if their children will attend another Spokane school. Parents need to bring a birth certificate or other verification of age, and the most current immunization records with month, day and year of inoculation, said Kristy Mylroie, a Spokane Public Schools spokeswoman. “Kindergarten students must be 5 on or before Aug. 31; first-graders must be 6,” according to the district’s press release. Information about medical, religious, philosophical or personal exemptions from immunizations is available from the district’s Health Services department at 354-7298. Registration for kindergarten or first-grade is also available 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. weekdays at neighborhood elementary schools, Mylroie said.
