Driver killed after collision with deer
A motorist was killed this morning when his pickup collided with a deer 11 miles north of Newport on state Highway 20.
Jerald F. Kapelke, 54, of Cusick, died when the deer crashed through the windshield of his 2001 Ford Ranger pickup and struck him about 5:45 a.m. today.
He was headed east on the highway when the collision occurred, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Just another reason to allow more that one deer per hunter. we should emulate MN and let people get one buck and four does. that would sure help clear up the problem!
