Snow questions, no answers

The Spokesman-Review

Now that disincorporation has been taken off the table, it’s time to look at the quality services that the residents of Spokane Valley have lost. The No. 1 service that comes to mind is snow removal. In a normal snow event, six trucks and two graders are hardly adequate.

The city seems happy with the used equipment purchased from the state, but there was a reason they no longer used those trucks. If we have a winter like the previous two, there is no way to keep roads open and safe for travel with a “parking lot fleet.” Why hasn’t anyone said anything about our tax dollars going to an out-of-state contractor?

What happened to no new taxes? Too many questions, too little time. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
