Three injured in Priest River car crash

An inattentive driver caused a crash near Priest River Wednesday that sent two people to a Spokane hospital, Idaho State Police said. James E. Krizenesky, 82, of Priest River, was westbound on U.S. 2 going to Hat Creek Cattle Company around 3:30 p.m., ISP reported. As Krizenesky turned into the entrance, he struck an eastbound 2005 Kia driven by Francisco Magna III, 27, of Oldtown, and passenger Zualita L. Magna, 44, of Ponderay. Krizenesky, who was cited for inattentive driving, was treated and released from Newport Community Hospital. The Magnas were transported to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, where they were in satisfactory condition Wednesday night, a nursing supervisor said.
