Public’s help sought in finding missing man

Francisco Poncho Johnston (Spokane Police Department)
Area police are asking the public’s help in locating a missing man. Francisco Johnston, 44, was last seen about 7:30 p.m. Saturday walking west from the STA Plaza in downtown Spokane. He was supposed to take a bus to his home in Airway Heights, police said. Johnston, who goes by the nickname “Poncho,” has the mental capacity of a 14-year-old, due to a head trauma, police said, and has a seizure disorder that required medication. He is 5-foot-8, 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a maroon hoodie, brown jeans, black sneakers and a white fishing hat. Anyone with information on his location is urged to call 911.
