Combative son passes out, jailed

Mcclatchy

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, Wash. – Bainbridge Island police arrested a 30-year-old man at his mother’s home early Saturday after he threatened to shoot the officers and barricaded himself in a bedroom.

Police were called to the house about midnight. The man’s 63-year-old mother had called 911 to report that her son was intoxicated and refused to leave.

The son does not live with his mother, according to Bainbridge police.

While the mother was on the 911 call, the son reportedly threatened to kill any police officers who came to the house.

Officers arrived to find the man barricaded in a bedroom. After about 90 minutes, officers entered the room and found the man passed out on the floor. He was booked into the Kitsap County Jail on suspicion of criminal trespass and malicious mischief.
