Church will offer prayers for peace

Spokane Valley Community of Christ, 11515 E. Broadway Ave., will hold prayers for peace beginning Monday.

During the Lenten and Easter seasons, the church will open at noon, Monday through Friday, for a time of nondenominational prayer and meditation.

Members of the congregation will say a blessing for a different nation each day, offer a prayer for peace throughout the world, and include time for silent prayers. Participants may also spend additional time in personal meditation.
