Signed The agent for Chris Duhon says the point guard has reached an agreement with the Orlando Magic for a $15 million, four-year deal. Duhon will back up starter Jameer Nelson. Duhon spent the last two seasons starting for the New York Knicks. He averaged 7.4 points and 5.6 assists per game last season.

• The Detroit Pistons have signed first-round draft pick Greg Monroe. The 6-foot-11 Monroe averaged 16.1 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 34 games as a sophomore for Georgetown last season. He was the Big East Rookie of the Year as a freshman.

• The St. Louis Blues have signed goaltender Jaroslav Halak to a four-year contract. The 25-year-old Halak was acquired from Montreal on June 17 in a surprising trade after his stunning performance in the playoffs. He was 26-13-5 for the Canadiens last season, ranked fourth in the NHL with a .940 save percentage and ninth in goals-against average (2.40).

• Mired in a 10-game losing streak, the Tulsa Shock have signed veteran guard Ivory Latta and waived rookie guard Natasha Lacy. The 5-foot-6 Latta, a former North Carolina standout, has played three seasons in the WNBA, spending one season with the Shock franchise.

Re-signed The Detroit Red Wings have re-signed forward Drew Miller to a one-year contract. Miller played 14 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning last year before being waived. The Red Wings claimed him in November, and he played in 66 games for Detroit last season, scoring 10 goals and adding nine assists.

Released Southern California released top recruit Seantrel Henderson from his national letter of intent, the latest blow to a school reeling from an NCAA scandal. Henderson, a 330-pound offensive tackle from St. Paul, Minn., was one of the coveted members of the first recruiting class for coach Lane Kiffin. Defensive end Malik Jackson also announced he will transfer to Tennessee. The 6-foot-5, 245-pound junior from Los Angeles has two years of eligibility left. NCAA rules allow juniors and seniors to transfer without sitting out a season following the sanctions.
