Bible schools offered for kids

The steady stream of vacation Bible school sessions at Valley churches continues, as two more congregations prepare to host a week of educational fun.

• “Saddle Ridge Ranch: Roundin’ Up Questions, Drivin’ Home Answers” is the theme of the VBS that begins Monday at Valleypoint Church, 714 S. Pines Road. Classes will be held daily from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. through Friday for children age 4 through the sixth grade.

• Foothills Community Church will embark on a “High Seas Expedition” July 26-30. Classes will meet from 9 a.m. to noon each day. It is open to children age 4 through the eighth grade. A special program will be presented for parents and community members on July 29 at 6:30 p.m.

Pastor reception

Spokane Valley United Methodist Church will host a reception after the 10 a.m. worship service Sunday to welcome its new pastor, the Rev. Mike Graef, and his wife, Missy. The church is at 115 N. Raymond Road.
