Seattle makes roster moves

The struggling Seattle Mariners designated relievers Kanekoa Texeira and Jesus Colome for assignment and recalled pitchers Sean White and Garrett Olson from Triple-A Tacoma.

The team announced the moves Monday night after a loss to Minnesota.

Texeira was 0-1 with a 5.30 ERA in 16 games. Colome was 0-1 with a 5.29 ERA in 12 games.

Seattle chose Texeira in last winter’s Rule 5 draft from the Yankees’ system. That means he must clear waivers before being offered back to New York.

Injury report

Catcher Adam Moore (sublexed left fibula) and shortstop Jack Wilson (hamstring) were limited to early batting practice Monday. Wilson, if all goes well, could go on a rehab assignment Friday. Moore is likely further behind in his return, manager Don Wakamatsu said. … Pitcher Erik Bedard threw long toss and could do a bullpen session Friday, Wakamatsu said.
